Types of Insurance
Our car rental prices include the following types of insurance:
• Liability car insurance (also named as Third Party Insurance);
• Super Collision Damage Waiver with a deductible of as little as 300 euros;
• Comprehensive car insurance with a deductible of as little as 300 euros;
• Windshield insurance with zero Client liability (no deductible).
For an additional fee, you can select the following type of insurance:
• Super Collision Damage Waiver with no deductible. For an additional fee of 6‑16 euros/day, you can have our Zero excess insurance with zero Client liability (no deductible);
• Personal accident insurance is available for an additional fee 4 euros/day. This type of insurance covers treatment expenses of injuries of the driver and passangers, resulting from traffic accidents.
A brief description of the above mentioned insurance see below.
Liability car insurance
This type of insurance (included in the car rental price) will cover your financial liability for any damages caused by vehicle operation. The maximum amount of coverage is 2,000,000 euros.
Super Collision Damage Waiver
This type of insurance (included in the car rental price) will cover your financial liability for damages to the rented car or any part of it. Client liability will be limited to a deductible of 300 euros for a passenger car, or 500 euros for a minibus. The insurance does not cover the car’s interior or tires.
Comprehensive car insurance
This type of insurance (included in the car rental price) will cover your financial liability in cases of car theft or damages incurred due to theft, vandalism, fire, hail, flood, etc. Client liability is limited to a deductible of 300 euros for a passenger car, or 500 euros for a minibus.
Windshield insurance
This type of insurance (included in the car rental price) will cover your financial liability in case of windshield damage. The deductible amount is zero.
The insurance does not cover the car’s interior or tires. This type of coverage is rather expensive and is not very popular because of its impracticality. Unlike the exterior of the car, you can only damage the interior “on your own.” So if you follow basic rules of behavior when operating the vehicle, the likelihood of damage to the interior is close to none. The quality of European roads is very high, so the chances of tire damage are also highly unlikely if you drive responsibly.
Reasons for rejecting insurance claims
In case of a road accident, call the police. Otherwise, the insurance company can reject the indemnity claim.
The insurance company will not accept indemnity claims in the following cases:
• Willful damage;
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• Illegal operation of the vehicle, operation by a person without a driver's license, using the car to commit a crime, etc.;
• Theft of the car (when the Renter has no keys or car documents);
• Vandalism (when there is no police report or incident registration).
Clarification
In conclusion, we would like to explain our insurance coverage (included in the car rental price) in plain and simple words. For example, what happens if the Renter is responsible for a road accident when driving a rented passenger car? In this case, regardless of the extent of damages to the rented car and other cars involved in the accident, the maximum liability of the Renter will be 300 euros. If the Renter is not responsible for the road accident, he/she will have no liability whatsoever, regardless of the extent of damage caused to the rented car. In this case, the deposit will be returned to the Renter in full following the submission of the road accident report that indicates the responsible and injured parties.
